Innovagen Restal has in its structure such a compound as doxylamine succinate and is available if form of 25mg pills.

Doxylamine succinate is an antihistaminic drug that aims at elimination of symptoms as, for example, sneezing, a cold in the head and lacrimation that are signs of hay fever, allergy, and chills. The principle of action lies in blocking of acetylcholine and histamine that are genuine compounds produced by the organism. Due to the fact that the drug exerts relaxing effect, it is also taken in order to treat occasional insomnia or wakefulness. That is why Innovagen Restal refers to the company's group of products under the name of Sleep Aides and Stress Reduction.

Intake and Doses

Innovagen Restal is available in form of tablets taken orally. If you suffer indigestion, you may use a drug with milk or food instead of water. Doxylamine succinate is absorbed through the digestive tract. The highest level of drug concentration of 100mg/mL in the plasma reaches within 2 - 3 hours after intake of 25 mg. The peak falls within 24 hours of dose to 28ng/ML or 10ng/mL within 36 hours of the dose.

Pharmacokinetics

Doxylamine is rapidly and almost completely absorbed after oral administration. In Cmaxv serum detected within 2-2.4 hours after administration at a dose of 25 mg and 99 ng / ml.

Doxylamine is metabolized primarily in the liver. The major metabolites are N-desmethyl doxylamine, N, N-didesmetil doxylamine and their N-acetyl-conjugates. It penetrates through the blood-tissue barriers, including GEB. T1 / 2 is in the range from 10.1 to 12 hours. The main part of the dose (approximately 60%) is excreted in unchanged form with the urine, partly - through the intestines.
